Weight that is not lost in spite of doing sports and diet constitutes a great problem for many people in terms of both health and aesthetics. Radiofrequency procedure ensures recipients to achieve regional slimming by eliminating fats from the body by dissolving fats, which are resistant to diet and exercise. Radiofrequency method is one of the most effective solutions for regional fat, cellulite formation and saggy facial areas.
Radiofrequency is the procedure used for regional slimming by using sounds waves for fat removal. Radiofrequency technology ensures fats, which are resistant to diet and exercise, to be eliminated from the body via lymphatic ducts after being dissolved by heat.
Radio waves activate water molecules and ions, which are present in the body (magnesium, calcium and sodium-potassium). Thus, energy is revealed and relative area is heated. The purpose herein is to increase the temperature of the heated (treated) area up to 41-43°C (normal body temperature is 36-37°C). When the temperature of the skin reaches to aforementioned point, temperature of the subcutaneous area reaches to 50-55°C. Such heat does not give any damage or harm to the body. It increases in cell diffusion of the oxygen by heating the skin. Such condition accelerates the metabolism of stored energy, increases lymphatic drainage, and causes fat cells to shrink and decrease. Thus, an effective regional thinning and weight loss is ensures by radiofrequency.
A great majority of aestheticians suggests using regional slimming procedure with radiofrequency before and after a liposuction operation. It increases the success rate of a liposuction to activate fatty tissues with radiofrequency before liposuction. A skin texture, which becomes empty and loose, is left after removal of fat during a liposuction procedure. Most ideal method to tighten such tissue is to use radiofrequency regional slimming. Equal amount of fat may not be removed from each region in liposuction and similar procedures. Ondulations may be observed even after most successful operations. Today, this problem, which is tried to be eliminated by physiotherapy procedures in previous years, may be solved easily by radiofrequency treatment.
First of all, ultrasound gel, which ensures viscosity, is put on relative area, and device head travels on relative area just like in the case of ultrasound procedure. This procedure is painless. It does not cause any bruises. However, a mild heat may be felt during the procedure and a few hours after the procedure. It is normal for the urine to be in a dark colour after the procedure. It is a proof of fat discharge from the kidney and liver. You may continue with your daily life at the end of the procedure.
Radiofrequency procedure may be performed on any area, on which regional fat is observed, such as legs, arms, abdomen, hips, waist, belly, double chin, neck, chest area, back and cellulitides etc.
Pain may be felt on the affected area and on the body in general throughout the regional slimming procedure. It varies based on the development process of the treatment under normal conditions. However, it begins to be performed bi-weekly and monthly. This duration varies from case to case. Session period is 45 minutes for legs and waist, and it continues for 20 to 40 minutes on the belly and hip regions.
This procedure is not performed on below type of individuals;
Benefits of radiofrequency procedure are as below;
It accelerates lymphatic circulation in order to decrease regional fat deposits, which occur due to impairments that occur in the circulation system. It improves the drainage system. Thus, acceleration is observed in the metabolism with fat deposition. Acceleration of metabolism brings a rapid tightening and recovery in muscles. Thus, body tightening, cellulitis removal, dissolution of regional fat deposits, toxin discharge and organization of the circulatory system are achieved as a result of such effects.
In radiofrequency treatment, it is known that the skin surface also improves visibly in addition to recovery of the sub layers of the skin. Its effects continue for two years and it does not leave any marks on the body, and these two factors make this treatment attractive. This is a treatment that is performed on the skin structure of individuals from any age. With radiofrequency, which is an ideal solution for individuals annoyed by surgical interventions, regional slimming treatment may be repeated, if requested.
It works by dissolution of fat tissues via thermal energy and sound waves, which make a thermal effect. It ensures that fluids and oxygen flow into tissues by widening fat cell membranes. Thus, fat layers dissolve and recipients achieve the regional slimming they wished for.
It is not recommended to perform a radiofrequency procedure 3-4 days before and after the menstrual period because the body is edematous in this period and the body’s pain threshold is low. Consumption of various beverages must be restricted during the menstrual period, such as coffee, tea, green tea, salt and cola drinks.
Recipients, who underwent radiofrequency, must begin to consume 2.5-3 liters of water 3-4 days prior to the procedure. Recipients must continue to consume water after the procedure too.
Vigorous physical activities must not be performed for 3 days after undergoing radiofrequency, and recipients must refrain from going to hot environments, such as hamams and saunas etc. However, recipients may take warm showers and go for short walks.
Recipients may go for brisk walks 4 days after the procedure, and may eat a high-protein and vegetable diet with low calorie.
It is recommended to recipients to not to consume alcohol during the period of this procedure.
If recipients are going o drink tea and coffee after the procedure, it is recommended them to drink 1 glass of water for each 1 cup of alcohol.
There must be no metal objects (rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, metallic bra snaps etc.) on recipients during the radiofrequency procedure.
Urinary bladders of recipients must be empty during measurements.
Prices of radiofrequency treatment vary based on the application area, severity of the problem and number of sessions. Low-priced procedures can mean performing procedures with inappropriate devices. Therefore, quality of the procedure and experience level of the doctor are very important details.

Radiofrequency treatment does not provide permanent results. Permanent results may vary based on the dietary habits and hormonal structure of the individual. Therefore, there are no permanent results that vary from person to person. However, this procedure may be re-performed by consulting a physician after the impact of the procedure goes away.
Main objective of radiofrequency treatment is to discharge the fat, which may not be discharged from the body by sports or diet and which accumulate in the body. Therefore, it is recommended to provide this treatment when the recipient is on diet or is doing sports.
No, ultrasound gel, which ensures viscosity, is put on relative area prior to the procedure, and the head of the device travels on relative area as in the case of an ultrasound scan. This procedure is painless. Also, it does not cause any bruises.
